Just to fill you all in on the first DIY post i decided to share. I do not have the step by step process however i do have a before and after. This DIY project was done a couple months ago. My apartment was renovated about 6 years ago and ever since my room has been the same. As I grew up more I felt the need for change and less color so I made a trip to Sherwin Williams right here in Maraval close to where I live and picked paint samples.
I eventually found two colors I liked and bought them. I moved everything to the center of my room, primed the walls and got to painting. Finally the last part of my decor was to get new curtains and bedroom accessories. Once i was finished and everything was placed back and put up, I felt a complete difference. I removed clutter and my room especially with the colors felt bigger. This is an easy fix, whenever you feel for a change, buy some paint and affordable bedroom accessories and it is quite easy to transform your daily personal space.
DIY for home decor can be from the smallest to largest thing, it is all about what you and how you like it. From a center piece for your dinning table to a room transformation matters. Every little piece in your house represents part of you. So, get up and do it yourself!
Here are the before and after pictures.

Just a little explanation. This is just a shot of part of the room however you can get the idea. I love black but at the time when we renovated i loved color. To this day I still love the colors I chose back then.

And here, we have the after. Most of the things I had in the other picture was moved to the left, the television was moved to a wall you cannot see in the picture. I added a mat and now the room seems bigger than before. All about placement and color, the light grey gave it more of an open feel because of the lightness and because I love black and dark colors I had to add in an accent wall.
Stay tuned for more,
Xoxo
Ariel.
