Another week, 16th post

Hi there,

So today I am going to share with you another collaboration I did with one of my class mates, Terry Ann. Her blog was all about wine and we thought what could we have done with all the bottles she drank or had ready to throw in her trash from parties and get togethers.

Seeing that my topic is DIY for house decor, what better to do than a centre piece for a dinning room. You can read more on her blog about her wines but here I am just going to explain the steps we took together to make this centre piece work.

Firstly I would like to show pictures of the finished product.

Now the steps we took were two different approches and we chose to have them different to create texture and contrast.

Firstly the materials used were:

Wine bottles
Masking tape
Twine
Glue gun
Spray paint.

The first approch was done with green bottles where we wrapped them with masking tape and spray painted it. Let dry and then peel masking tape off. Very simple but looks great!

The second approch was to spray paint the entire bottle then take twine and a glue gun and wrap it until desired lenght.

Simple huh? Yes!

Lastly, all you have to do is set up the bottles in whatever arrangment you prefer and place twigs, plants flowers etc to decorate. We chose to leave the bottles empty so that you can see the work properly and just simply decorate the table below with some stones. Quick and easy process. If you have a dinner party or celebration coming up, this is definitely a go to.

Stay tuned for more,
Xoxo
Ariel.
