Before I begin my DIY projects for home decor, I would like to explain the theory of this concept in further detail. While this is for fun, it is also for pratical use. With home decor there are many different ways to style your home. It includes the personality, likes and dislikes of an individual that determines this.
Firstly the different styles includes Luxe, Rustic, Cottage, Vintage, Elecric,Modern and Country. Personally my two faves are Luxe and Modern. Like I said before, everyone has their individual styles that reflect their personalities and likes.
I would just like to briefly explain a few popular styles so you all will have an idea of each.
Luxe- Gold, Silver, Opulant
Rustic- Weathered, Farmhouse, Linen
Cottage- Small, Light woods, Distressed
Vintage- Leathers, Protraits, Preppy
Electric- Vibrant, Bold, Textures
Modern- Straight lines, Mid century
Country- Romantic, Shabby chic, Nautical
Now that I have outlined some words that relate to the different styles, it is easier to visualize them.
This is an exciting and interesting venture for art and home lovers.
Even though i laid out different styles there is no particular style that i will be creating, just an overview of do it yourself pieces that appeal to me.
